Blended Learning: Changing the Dynamics of Student Teaching


What is Blended Learning?

Blended  learning  is  a  subject  that people know little about.  However, more and more educators  are  interesting  in  learning more.  Educators are  always  looking  for  ways  to  engage their  students  in  learning  opportunities.  Teachers often have to teach  students with various personality  and  learning  styles. By incorporating blended learning strategies in their instruction, Teachers can reach the whole child.

Blended  learning  allows  teachers  to  deliver  content  through  technology  (digital  or  online)  and  provides  space  for  students  to  learn  at  their  own  pace.  However, implemented it can be a very difficult task in the beginning. Over  the  years,  blended  learning  has  been  difficult  to  research  because  has  not  always  been clearly  defined  or  implemented  in  teacher  preparation  programs. However,  research  on  the  topic  is  changing  the  way  blended  learning  is  defined  and  administered  in  schools  across  the  globe.  Within  the  educational  community,  blended  learning  is  a  powerful  tool  that  encourages  students  take  control  of  their  learning  experience.  By exposing teachers to the blended learning environment early on, it creates  the  perfect  opportunity  for them  to  see  which  instructional  or  learning  practices  work  best  for  their students.
